Generally people wish to create a spot in their homes where they can safely store valuable items that for convenience sake they wouldn’t want to store in a safe deposit box at a bank. Items such as jewelry, important documents, guns, emergency cash, or investment certificates qualify as things you might want to have at home, but safely tucked away.
Are you prepared for an emergency? Each year thousands are left stranded after a hurricane, winter storm, tornado, or flood leaves them without electricity, drinkable water, or in extreme cases, heat and shelter. A few years ago, after a relatively mild hurricane in my Florida hometown, we were left without electricity for over a week.
